Remove the battery and power cord. Wait 10 minutes, put battery and AC back in and try one last time.
At this point, the laptop needs repair. Since you are unlikely to have spare boards and parts, the usual issue is how to retrieve the laptop data.
I use either an USB drive case like http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=BLK-A-811 (under 20 dollars) or this under 4 dollar adapter at http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=HD-108 to put the drive into a desktop.

Hello, I am having a problem with my Toshiba Satellite 1735.
The power cord was plugged out as the laptop was on and the screen went blank and
did not come back. At that time the battery was dead.
I have turned it on and off over and over but nothing happens. The power light turns
on, but that is it.
Please help if you can. Thank you.
