Figured it out. This laptop isn't accessed through the lower body but the keyboard is removed to gain access to the internal components. There is no need to remove any screws or extra drives in order to do this. There are two small pieces at the base of the lcd display that come off very easy when the screen is pushed all the way back. From there the keyboard comes off and six screws are removed. This releases a panel that covers the harddrive and all other components installed.
I just had an old Acer Extensa 503T giving to me. I was told that it just needed a harddrive replacement. Not so sure, it looks like it has been dropped at some point. What I need help with is taking the thing apart. I know it's an older laptop so am not into spending money to have someone tell me that it's fried. As well not worried about any further damage that may occur due to my learning experience on it.
Any directions on how disassemble the casing would be appreciated.
Thank You
