I like the CNET best laptops at http://www.cnet.com/topics/laptops/best-laptops/
And of course the top post in this forum with it's laptop pickers.
I'm a little concerned about the year or two statement. Even the students that schlep laptops daily can get 3 to 4 years on the cheap Dells. Tell more.
One of the first decisions is the screen size. If it's going to sit on a desk, then 17 inch models can be entertained. For portability and power I stick with the 15 inch. And then for the person on the go we look at 14 all the way down to smart phone sizes.
I use my desk top for my real estate work. I write contracts, read contracts, use crms, and the mls for home searches. I am finding myself in need of a laptop, but I am not sure which one. I am on the computer a lot, and like the idea of the 2 in 1. I also want the SSD. I have looked and read so much, I don't know what is good and what will only last me a year or two. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
