laptop ram upgrade

hi guys, currently i am using 2GB DDR2 667Mhz with 5-5-5-15 timing of ram on my laptop.
i am planning to upgrade to 4GB, but i wonder can i use a DDR2 800Mhz with 5-5-5-18 timing ram on my laptop?

Might depend on the laptop?

Personally, I would stick to what the memory advisor on www.crucial.com tells me to use. Did you use it already?

Check your laptop specification page at the OEM website

Then use the scan make sure the details match. I would suggest you try for the lowest latency (fastest) possible.
