Laptop question: Toshiba Portege r700 or r705

by wendyama / September 27, 2010 2:46 AM PDT

I'm trying to decide between these two. The big difference is the 705 lets you stream movies etc. from the laptop to the TV; the 700 has a three-year warranty, the other version a one-year. Love to know how easy to use the laptop-to-TV is and if it's it worth it or the three-year warranty a better deal.

If anyone has any thoughts on this, it would be much appreciated.

Hi, I just bought the r705 p35 and really like it. has a nice feel with the magnesium alloy case. i've owned a toshiba satelite A105 since 2005 and haven't had any trouble. i like toshiba. I went with the r705 primarily because of the glowing reviews from dan ackerman on cnet. it's only been three days but so far no buyer's remorse. the price is nice too. good luck, hope this helped.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
