Question

Laptop problem

Sep 20, 2015 12:28AM PDT

Laptop : Sony Vaio
Model : VPCEH28FN
Ram : 4GB
Intel Core I5-2430 processor
Hard Disk 500GB
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 512MB

Three months ago my battery got completely drained out. So I started using my laptop plugged in with the battery still attached. About a month ago I was working when out of no where my laptop froze. So i attempted a hard restart. On restart laptop was directed to BIOS. The keyboard and the touchpad didn't work but externally connected devices worked ok. So i kept restarting multiple times and the windows would boot eventually. After 5-10 min of login the keyboard and touchpad would stop working. No issues with externally connected devices. I took my laptop to the service center but they had no clue. This went on for a week. I finally decided to remove the battery and start using . Just like that the problem disappeared immediately. I was using Windows 8 all this time. Now that everything was working well I upgraded to Windows 10. It worked well for two weeks or so and now the issue is back. No body has a clue what the problem is . Please help

So is this a 2012 laptop?

The battery looks to have failed and you didn't replace it. Batteries can drag on the mainboard and cause other failures. It looks like it will need a new motherboard and battery to bring it back now.

I know folk in shops won't tell you this but when a battery shows trouble and it's 18 or more months old, replace it. If you don't you can lose other parts.
