With the push for similar performance to desktops, the notebook is likely to be too warm for laps.
The cooling pad is a nice idea if the sound level is not objectionable.
I just got my Dell E1505 and it seems to generate a lot of heat from the bottom of the laptop (not an extreme amount but seems kinda hot, it's probably normal). Do you guys think I need to purchase one of those chill mats to place under the laptop??? An example of what I'm talking about is here...
I plan on using my laptop on a desk surface primarily for about 8 hours straight (at work). Are the fans that come with my laptop sufficient already? I read that these chill pad will prolong your laptop's life, please let me know if I should buy one of these mats for $10-20 dollars.
