Laptop Mouse

Jul 17, 2005 11:58AM PDT

I have a Dell Lattitude with 2 built-in mice. I am running Xandros [ Debian ]. One of the mice is a touchpad(Sypnatic) and the other one is the little ball between the <g><h> and <b> keys. The little ball is much easier to use, and so I am much more comfortable using that then the touchpad. Recently, after an update, the ball will not work(except in rare instances.) How can I re-enable it?

Thanx,

Lilsim89

A developer? What you do next is make new drivers. This is beyond most members, but you can certainly try. It's how Linux grows.

For me, unless it's a simple driver I try another distro.

I have been thinking about writing drivers. Maybey I will look into that. For now, a kernel update fixed the problem. (2.6.11)
