It looks like you need a new motherboard. Or, since it's at least 7 years old, it looks like you need another laptop.
Help please!
My Son poured water on my Dell latitude 2120 mini laptop 3weeks ago. It was off but still very warm when i got to it. I bent it to drain excess water, removed the battery and keyboard. There was clear plastic underneath, so the water didn't touch the board much. But there were beads of vapour underneath the plastic. Dismantled it to the barebones and left to dry for days. After coupling, I press the power button, caps lock, numlock, screen lock, and white battery light come up simultaneously and go off at the same time I take my finger off the power button.
NB. I have tried with only the RAM in. Same result
Long pressed power button same result, both plugged in and on battery power.
