Question

Laptop LCD screen

Since I bought my laptop, it has this noticeable area on top in which it can be more noticeable in black screen (black screen but not turned off) sort of like it's pressed. Is it normal?

LCD means Liquid Crystal Display.

So it can change if you press on it. In many laptops you see pressure points as the LCD mount or bezel is not perfect.

So yes, normal.

Its called light leaks, its normal, but if your computer is new and its on a lot of the screen you can try and replace it.
