Laptop keyboards

Mar 25, 2006 2:50PM PST

Does anyone know of any laptops that come with larger keyboards, im so use to a regular keyboard, I want to find a laptop that has a keyboard that is relatively similar to a keyboard or larger than the average laptop size keys, i would carry around a keyboard, but that ruins the point of getting a laptop.

My Compaq r3000 seems full sized. Also, try an Apple laptop. I'm answering in regard to the key spacing and size, not the number pad...

Generally, a 14"-15.4" laptop would have a 'full size' keyboard. Naturally because of physical screen size, the 10"-12" keyboards would have small keyboards. Also if you are looking for a 'full' keyboard with a number pad, your only option is with a 17" screen laptop.

I too am looking for a laptop with a comfortable keyboard. I've heard Sony's are good thru cnet, I but don't really know. I'm not going the apple route -- too pricey. Anyone have bad luck with a keyboard so I know which laptops to avoid? thanks.

But get out there and try them. Some keyboards are good looking but hard to use. The Lenovos are interesting in how they move keys around and how there is no Home, End key.

You are limited with keyboards with laptops.

For variuos reasons the keyboardsare only as big as the screens. Companies tne to add keypads instead increasing key sizes when they have more room.
