I wonder if this is another Windows 10 upgrade. Many of these need a new driver for the device in question.
Sometimes when I start my laptop, my keyboard, or mousepad, or both, don't work.
What's weird is that at the login screen I will be able to sometimes move my mouse around and type in my password, but once I arrive at my desktop sometimes one or both stop working.
Plugging in an external keyboard and mouse always works. Sometimes once I unplug the external keyboard the onboard one begins working suddenly.
When I navigate to my trackpad settings in Windows 10 I can see that my Synaptics TouchPad V7.5 on PS/2 Port is disabled, and when I try to enable it it very quickly swaps between enabled and disabled on its own, forever, until I check "Disabled internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached." Once I uncheck that it goes back to very quickly alternating between enabled and disabled.
Any help? I really would prefer not to carry around an external mouse and keyboard wherever I want to use my laptop aha..
