Question

Laptop keeps restarting

May 29, 2018 12:10AM PDT

After windows 10 update I got an error saying 'desktop location invalid', couldn't click on anything and only had recycle bean on my desktop (also couldn't be clicked on). So I got w10 on my usb from healthy pc, loaded task manager and started set up for new windows. After 20 % laptop restarted and since then it keeps restarting and I can't do anything. Screen loads, for 1 sec i see cmd, 1 sec windows setup (0%) and it restarts again. Any suggestions?

That's why I said to boot from it, if running the setup doesn't work. I assume it was made on the healthy PC via https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10 with the option to install Windows on another PC. Then it's bootable.

You might need to set the BIOS to boot from that USB-stick. That's different for each PC so I can't tell you how.
