Aug 31, 2011 1:14AM PDT

Everytime my friend turns on her laptop it says she has all these different infections and she needs to purchase this software which has taken over her pc. I just bought this for her and really have no idea what to do. I was told to wipe the harddrive and reinstall everything? Please help!!

Computer infections rarely have a How To so I suggest trying Grif's suggestion at 7726-6132_102-5098912.html?tag=posts;msg5099421
and if that doesn't clear it up, post more details at the CNET Spyware Forum.

It's a malware program that has infected your computer. To get rid of it:
1. Download and run rkill at: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill This program will shut down all virus, trojans, and malware programs that are running.
2. Download and run malwarebytes from:
http://download.cnet.com/3001-8022_4-10804572.html?spi=b9ef709843ab33cc697226216d8cf013
3. Finally download and run SuperAntispyware:

This will do the trick to get rid of it. Good Luck!
