duct tape? ![]()
Actually, a friend of mine built a nice little wooden frame to keep everything in place. I don't know how much of a woodworker you are, but you might consider giving it a try. ![]()

Hi,
I have an old Compaq 906US laptop which functionally still works. However the hinge to the screen is broken, so I need to 'hold' up the screen or rest it against an object to see the display.
The laptop is out of warranty and I don't want to pay $$$ to get it fixed, since the laptop was cheap to begin with.
Are there any cheap fixes to at least get the screen propped up ? I don't need to travel with this, and it's just for home use, so something cheap and cheerful
I was wondering maybe there's a laptop desk stand which can take the weight of the screen and can position the display, or maybe there's something cheap I can buy from Homdepot to fix to the lid and bottom of the laptop just to hold the display up
Don't want to just get rid of the laptop, since cosmetically and functionally it's working fine. Just the screen hinge is broken
Thanks
Richard
