Question

Laptop graphics card not working, can't switch.

Oct 19, 2015 3:33AM PDT

Hi everyone, I have an asus laptop with a 610m nvidia graphics card and a intel HD 4000 graphics card. I dont exactley know when either one of them is running. But I could play games like l4d2, cs go, and chivalry. Now they crash all the time saying I dont have enough video ram. Is there a solution to this? Or is my nvidia graphics card broken or something? I already tried switching between them with the nvidia configuration panel, didnt work though.

That's not a gaming laptop.

As such it may do what you reported. The video card and 4000 don't have dedicated video memory so again, it falls short on gaming. You might have to try setting all games to lowest settings to match this pretty low entry level hardware.
