Question

Laptop goes from shutdown to sleep overnight

Apr 22, 2019 8:09PM PDT

i bought a laptop, and when the parcel reached, the battery was low as dead... i charged it though...now when i shut it down and leave it overnight, and turn it on the other day, it wakes from sleep, and has consumed a lot of battery... don't know if it is hardware or software problem... don't know what forces the computer to shift from shutdown to sleep mode

i tried the method.
The reason for all the wakeup events was 'unknown'
But i found that ethernet controller power wakeup on option was enabled, so i disabled that...
lets see if it works

I worried you would write that.

I've lost count where the wakeup is unknown and the client doesn't change the wake timers.

W10 is delivered with this enabled and for folk that are used to the old system are surprised by this.

Be sure wake timers are disabled. Do not stop because of the wakeup events were unknown.
