Laptop for mobile multimedia?

by Nick Daguio / May 16, 2006 2:16 AM PDT

We need a lightweight, reliable laptop that will allow us to edit video files, sound files and put together Flash presentations in the field.

And my boss is dead-set against Macs, so don't even go there; I've already made all the arguments in their favor and I can't budge him. So for better or worse, our choice is confined to Windows platforms.

Any recommendations?

What about Thinkpads?

I haven't quite given up the fight yet. I'm hoping to enlist the aid of one of our techs in changing his views about Macs.

Meanwhile, he seems interested in Lenovo (formerly IBM) Thinkpad X60s. What do you think of those?
