The office supplied the similar y510p so I'd buy again. My son had a ROG and it's very nice too. Good choices so hit CNET and Notebookcheck on the models you looked at.

I'm looking to purchase a laptop that will play the games listed in the title without a hitch.
What I want to play: I play a lot of MMOs, such as World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Guild Wars 2, etc. My current laptop (Asus K53E) runs these games alright, but I can never go too far above medium settings. I'd really like to be able to get these games running at high or ultra settings.
(I also want to play Elder Scrolls Online and my current laptop can't even handle low settings.)<div>
I'd also like to play more graphically intensive games like Assassin's Creed Unity, Skyrim with added mods, and Sims 4 with mods, Witcher 3, GTA5, etc...
<div>
Budget: I'm looking for something around the $1,000 - $1,500 range...but, that's also taking into consideration used and refurbished laptops. So, I'd gladly take recommendations for pricier laptops, since I'll probably shoot for a refurbished one anyway.
</div></div>
Other concerns: I'd prefer a 15", but open to larger screens (I'd rather not go smaller, though). Weight and battery life aren't much of an issue, since it'll be home most of the time.
What I've looked at so far: So far, I've been checking out the Lenovo Y50 and the ASUS ROG GL551JM-DH71, but not entirely sure what to make of them, so I'd love opinions.
I'm also curious about the reliability of a couple other brands. Anyone have any thoughts on Razer, ibuypower, MSI, and Gigabyte?
Thanks so much!
