Laptop for Grandma

Nov 1, 2009 12:13PM PST

My mother in law wants a semi-fast laptop with at least a 15" screen. I'm looking for the best budget laptop that runs Windows 7 smoothly. But I'd like to spend around $600 at most. She primarily surfs the Internet and wants to do so wirelessly from the living room. Occasionally, she'll use Word and a few other programs (none of which are processor intensive), but she doesn't need a lot of processing power. She also doesn't watch DVDs on the laptop, so I'm really not looking for an entertainment laptop.
Any ideas welcome.
