Telling what NOT happens isn't helpful. Please tell what happens.

Important also: is it only for public WiFi hotspots, or only for your own router or ...

I have not tested it on public hotspots but on my home router it connected until 12 March and everything was fine but the next day it tried to connect but does not seem to find the IP Address. I am using a Acer 5920 Aspire, the message is connecting to LAN and WLAN failed

That's a unique message. I googled "Connecting to LAN and WLAN failed" and your post is the only one Google finds: http://www.google.com/search?q="connecting+to+LAN+and+WLAN+failed"
So it seems nobody has ever seen it before.

The first thing to do: reset the router and reboot the laptop. Then check the router (your network) with another laptop and the laptop with another router or public WiFi. Seeing what IPCONFIG says might be interesting also.
It might help to delete the connection on the laptop and remake it like you did originally.

Things that could be wrong:
- router needs reset
- router gone south
- WiFi hardware in laptop gone south
- laptop set to "don't use WiFi" (most likely a hardware switch, probably software to enable or disable it)
- WEP or WPA password incorrect
- malware damage on laptop

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
