Question

Laptop displays sidways

I was typing a post on my laptop--didn't touch any unusual keys--and suddenly the display turned side ways and all the navigation icons disappeared. I tried restarting but that was no help.
This is an Acer laptop about 2 years old.

Answer
There is a setting

If you right click on desktop and select screen respolution or In Control-Panel - Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display\Screen Resolution

There is an orientation dropdown. Sounds like you have 3 or 4 selected.

Options are
1. Lanscape (which it should be)
2. Portrait
3. Lanscape Flipped
4. Portrait Flipped
