Question

Laptop died while being powered on

Apr 1, 2015 11:43AM PDT

So my brother's laptop went into sleep mode because it was dying and when he plugged it in and started to boot it up it got unplugged and died. I was just wondering if this could harm his computer.

Tell more about age, if the battery was gone (shot.) Make, model, details may help.

I doubt it would break hardware but OS or any software open could be damaged. It could corupt a file and if that file is need by the OS it could cause the pc not to boot.
