Just begin the painful return process as it's new and broken on arrival.
https://www.google.com/search?q=Laptop+detecting+imaginary+monitor&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 noted some priors but this as presented sounds defective out of the box.
My Fujistu laptop is detecting the normal monitor, a generic PnP monitor, and another monitor, a generic non-PnP laptop. I have another one of these and it only has the generic Pnp monitor. So having this extra monitor is not the problem, but this fake monitor reconnects and connects back and forth and the screen goes black. It is quite annoying when I try to do school work. I have never connected another monitor before on this computer. I have uninstalled the monitor on device manager and disabled it but it still does the same thing. I am running windows 8.1, i5 clocked at 2.3 gz, and 4gb of ram on a fujistu laptop.
