I wonder if you are using to cooler numbers in a desktop.
My son got this for Christmas. It's generic and fanless. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WRDS8H0
I have an Acer Aspire V17 Nitro. There is a Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz. 16 Gigs of Ram. GEFORCE GTX 960m. 1 TB HDD & 225 GB SSD.
This thing has a beautiful screen and some seriously smooth gameplay but there is an overheating issue.
This thing is supposed to have something called "Coolboost Technology" yet when I am running my logitech cpu and gpu monitor, the temperature of both spikes to 90+C . I am not running crysis on ultra I am running WOW on high settings. Is it possible that I have a faulty device and should look into getting a replacement? Or is this sort of thing normal and if so what is the best and biggest cooling pad currently on the market. This laptop is large and I have not found a laptop cooler at a major retailer that fits.
I would greatly appreciate any advice or help on what to do. I am lost. Thank you.
TL;DR I have an awesome brand new latop that spikes in temperature. Is that normal for a higher end laptop? and if so can you reccomend a cooling station?
