Hi Martinozz,
I'll toss out the suggestion of changing the source on the TV to the correct HDMI connection for the laptop, but also, you need to make sure that you turn on that external monitor. But just so you know: if you want Samsung support, I support US products and customers. And from what I can tell, this model is for UK. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So I have no more information about Samsung UK products than you do, but here's the Samsung UK portal for support on that product: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE46ES8000UXXU

Hi Guys
This maybe a stupid question, but i can't get my laptop connected via HDMI to the samsung ue46es8000.
Via allshare I can see the files, but I would like to expand the laptop desktop to the TV.
The laptop has windows vista installed.
Any ideas?Many thanks!
Martinozz
