Hi everyone,i am having troubles with charging my laptop,i have Dell Inspiron laptop,I bought new charger and battery but still my laptop doesn't charge battery.Please give me suggestions what can i do to fix it.

Is there some procedure in the manual that must be done when replacing the battery with a new one? On a Compaq I had to go through some drain down function first on a new battery before I could get it to work properly.
I had a used laptop shipped via UPS a few weeks ago and when I had it plugged in , it showed "Plugged In Not Charging". I had 2 batteries and chargers and the result was the same.
It turned out that some of the ribbon cables were jarred loose and not fully seated, ( they looked crooked in the plugs ) .
Once reseated the laptop charged fine.

You got 2 of them. The last bits are the connections to/from all that and the mainboard where the battery charging system is. Be sure to compare repair cost to replacement cost.
And always try that generic reset noted in the welcome pinned post in this forum.
