I am in the same boat your in. I do know that Toshiba should be releasing specs for the Qosmio G35-AV670 around the beginning of April.
If you have already purchased your new system I would be interested in what you got.
I am interested in buying a high-end Vista laptop around the price range of $2,000 - $2,800.
Main Tasks which I will be using it for:
Graphic Design and Photoshop
Heavy Media Use Including Recording TV, Watching Movies, Music, etc.
Slight Gaming (maybe 1 game every 2-3 months) - I'm not too much of a gamer but would still like to have decent gaming options
Carrying Around Dorms
Is there a laptop which has RGB or HDMI input so the monitor of the laptop can basically be used as a TV?
I really like the Windows Media Center and its interface. I was just wondering it Dell's Media Experience measures up to it or if it is better.
So far I've looked at:
Dell XPS M1710
Dell Inspiron E1705
Toshiba Satellite P100
Toshiba Qosmio G35-A660
I dont know which one to choose out of the ones listed. I know the Dells are better for the gaming, but im kind of turned off my the lack of a TV tuner and a remmote. I also think they look ugly compared to the dv9000t. Im leaning towards the dv9000t, but I want to know how inferior the nVidia 7600 chip is to the Dell or Toshiba's 7900. For entertainment purposes, do they have a big difference and how big is the difference in gaming?
If there are any other laptops you can think of, please feel free to name them.
