Laptop Bluetooth help

by dougphilips33 / December 13, 2008 2:22 AM PST

I just got a laptop with bluetooth included. Now I'm not sure what I bought. Can I use it to connect to printers? If so, do the printers have to be bluetooth compatible or can I buy an adapter? Same for external hard drives? Most of what I see on the net deals with connectivity between laptops and phones or cameras.

would need to be compatible with a USB connection for bluetooth.
I havn't seen a external drive that is compatible, but no doubt there are some but the cost would be high.

Printing would take ages. It's fine for an audio link, syncing up a phone or such but I don't think I'd get too excited about it.
