Laptop Blemishes

Jul 26, 2004 1:47PM PDT

I have scratched the top surface of my laptop. I am wondering what services there are to repair physical damages such as the top cover of my laptop and the side speaker which is dented. These are scratches worth fixing but I am unware of how to go about fixing them. I know people can buy refurbish computers. Are there any companies that repair physical parts to a laptop or what ways can I do it

There are no such services that are as economical as finding the new case parts. At least not in the US that I've found.

I have seen on my X1000 forum (X1000forums) that many people can get parts off of E-bay. For example, many people buy the cheapest hard drive they can get from the manufacturer and then sell it and get their own fast 7200rpm notebook hard drive.

You may be able to find parts for your system if you know how to use E-bay. I haven't gone that route yet but that seems to be the only major option outside of ordering from the notebook manufacturer new.
