Laptop battery wont charge yellow flashing light

Hey Im having this issue with my laptop its a samsung np-q430- jsb1us and I was using it and all of a sudden the battery stoped saying it was plugged in but when i shut it down the battery light on the computer blinks yellow and when i take the battery out its a solid green light but it wont power on and i just got this charger yesterday. The charger worked fine till now and it is still registering that its plugged into the computer but not doing its job the yellow light is supposed to be solid when its off and battery is in. can anyone assist me here?

Your story is a bit light so let's see if the Cnet Samsung Forum can help. Be sure to put in ALL the details. Age, the call to 1800SAMSUNG and your transaction number.

If the charger is not a Samsung you may want to tell exactly what you used. I know most makers void the warranty if you don't use their parts.

well i called the company and they could not pin point the issue which is strange to me I mean it sounds simple enough and its their product they want me to send it in to them I if anything even if i cant fix it want to know whats causing the problem the cord is registering its plugged in but not working right ive looked online for things like this but its really hard to explain without writing a paragraph

It would be fixed in minutes by a new battery or other user replaceable part. But I don't see the needed details here.
