Laptop battery erroe message

by feralnetguy / October 14, 2007 8:12 PM PDT

I loaded Microsoft xp with sp2 onto my laptop and now I get a error message that reads, "Device installer error--Windows could not load the installer for battery. Contact hardware vendor". Can anyone tell me how to get the battery drivers? Laptop does not charge properly.

Find the cd's that came with the laptop and see if there's anyone labeled like "Restore cd" or "Drivers and utilities". It should be somewhere on those cd's.

The alternative: visit the download section of the manufacturers (like Dell, Toshiba, HP) website and find the driver. Or contact their tech support.

Battery error..

I'd say the batterys at fault but uninstall the SP2 in control panel and see if it reverts to normal. Or use system restore to dial it back to an earlier date if running XP. If this is a Sony Vaio S-series you may be in trouble.. Weve seen a few of these with Incorrect battery error messages..

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
