As your problems started after a fall, there are probably at least a connection that is faulty.
You may have a problem with your keyboard. At least, your symptoms do point in that direction. It may be a stuck key, a broken weld, a loose connector.
When things do work normaly, do you have any occasional problem typing. Like: occasionaly, the wrong character comes up, the desired character comming more than once, or a character that don't appears.
If the problem IS the keyboard, look if you can replace it. If not, you may need to replace the complete laptop.
As others have said, check your hard drive(s). Your data are very importent, at least to you! Do a full backup as soon as possible. Run a disk diagnostic for as long as possible. If there are any problem, replace the drive.
In the fall, any component may have been chaken loose. Follow the instruction on how to open your computer and check all connectors, as well as the seating of all components.
Do a visual inspection, use a good magnifier and a strong light. If you spot ANY crack anywhere, you need to replace that part. The crack will only get larger in time, as well as the problems, until you have a complete and total failure. Look carefully at every welds, some may present some tiny, barely visible, cracks.
If the motherboard itself is cracked, replace the whole laptop.
