Question

LAN problems with msi z170m mortar

Sep 12, 2017 9:18AM PDT

Hry, after reinstalling Windows my PC wont find any network to connect to (everything worked before). I tried to install network drivers but at the end of instalation it would say "the realtek network controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable". I did not enabled so called "deep sleep mode", the leds on the lan port are showing that its connected. Thanks for help

That's correct given the story.

Before the network drivers you need what they call CHIPSET DRIVERS. Sometimes listed as a chipset package.

So nothing looks wrong yet. That is, Windows is installed but you need to install drivers in the order dictated by the maker.

Answer
