Answer
Yes, that's a common side effect of malware.

Jan 19, 2015 1:03PM PST

Is it possible to download the programs Grif suggested on an usb drive and then run them on my computer? Will it have the same result?

Thanks for the reply

And that's exactly what Grif advised. Are you asking for verification? If so, yes.

still no internet

I did everything Gnif said but no results. It found some spyware malware on my computer i dleted those. Resetted the TCP tack but nothing. What i think is tht adwcleaner remoed an important internet reg ky or sopething which ws infected. I dont know what to do next ...

Not the first I've heard of that.

Adwcleaner removes the bad ware. If that has wormed its way into the system that deeply I don't fault Adwcleaner.

The TCP stack reset would have restored the keys needed (always has here) but if there is deep damage and all Safe Modes fail I have to look at what security you have installed. Some like Norton or Kas blow up and block the internet "for your protection?" so I have no kind words for bad ware or thuggish antivirus suites.

Tell a little more.

Im using Avast, i used to have Norton but it as too expensive as it was built in my in internet provider pack and it costs 20euros a month. Apart from Avast i have Iobit malware, and advanced sytem care that i use to scan like every 2weeks. Im gonna try to reset the TCP tack butthre are 2 ways. One with the c folder and one without which one should ichoose?

Iobit ?

That thing wiped out my neighbor last year. Sorry but I must defer to Iobit's own support. I won't go near it or the damage it can do.

As to the stack, why not use Microsoft's Fixit?

had it for years
Jan 20, 2015 11:49AM PST

Well i have had iobit for years without any problems, same goes fir my sis' comp or my brother's laptop. I used winfix but nothing. Strange thing is i installed the realtek driverr program and it downloaded a driver for my network adapter, but in device manager the NIC has a diff name thanthe one it used to have. Another thing is when i check networkconnections i can see the lan connection with my NIC bu on the desktop, bottom right, it says not connected, no connections available. Same thing on intrnet sttings, LAN it shows no connections

Then one last test.

Boot up one of the smaller live OSes like Puppy or Knoppix to see if the hardware is OK.
