There are a lot of false positives out there so you are asking the Goodsync folk to fix what looks to be a false positive.
BETA software can be offered for sale. The question is why folk buy if if they don't want BETA?
I think you are asking good questions but have to take action here. If you feel it's not up to your standards, then it's time to move on.
Dear friends,
I am running the beta 10 version of the popular goodsync software to sync my data between my portable HDD and my desktop. The software is very good very user friendly. I am their customer for the past three versions. My concern is that norton recognizes the v 10 which is yet in the beta format as a rouge software , flags it accordingly and removes it from my system every every time I try to run it. I wrote to the support staff of goodsync, they say that since it is in the beta version norton community may not recognize it as safe. They asked me to write to Norton and get matters clarified.
My concerns are :
1. Why can't the developers write to Norton. Would it not make a difference if they were to write to Norton rather me to write to Norton.
2. If this is the beta version, why is it hanging as beta for more than nine months now and they ARE releasing updates very periodically. Why is it yet in beta then? And why sell software in BETA version and if you sell it as beta take pains to resolve issues of your customers also.
It is a big pain to disable Norton every time I need to sync. It is so much wastage of my time here.
I told all this to the support staff of goodsync and they are in no mood to listen.
