Question

LaCie places "Backup" files in Finder

Nov 19, 2011 5:23AM PST

LaCie places a 'backup' copy of every file I open into Finder the instant that I click 'Save'. Instead of 50 file names on the list, I now have 100. This behavior occurs on the Desktop as well, if that is where the file happens to live. Each desktop document icon I've opened now has a Backup brother icon that clutters up the place. Otherwise, LaCie is working properly, disk permissions have been addressed and repaired. The proliferation of these unneeded Backups is my only complaint. Any way to call a halt to that behavior?
