LACie Big Disk restore backup

by moabrocks / March 5, 2009 10:36 AM PST

I have searched the internet and cannot seem to find anyone with this issue. I used LACie 1 click backup to backup my harddrive last month (Windows XP). I deleted a large file folder from my Dell laptop 620 knowing I had a backup file on the LACie Big Disk. Now that I need some information from the backup folder I can't access it.

I located the file folder that I needed on the LACie Big Disk - doubled clicked the folder - and found no files under the backup folder.

I right clicked on the folder - found the folder to contain 45 gb of data so I know the data is in the folder - but no way to access the file and folders. There is no restore function on the LACie one click backup.

Show hidden files and folder is selected

I have noticed 2 other folders with the same problem and it looks like the commonality to these 3 back-ups was a back-up of the entire harddrive (c drive) not just documents and photos.

I've since downloaded the Genie Backup assistant - which works fine for backups created now - but will now restore this particular backup folder that I am trying to access.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
