Labeling CDs & DVDs; what to use?

Sorry, I know this has been addressed but I can't find it. I know some markers are a no-no as are paste on labels. So what is left? I don't want fancy labels, just basic information.

I NEVER use paper labels.

You could use a printer designed to print the labels on. Some Epsons can do this.
