I took a look at the unit, and I have doubts as to whether you would be able to get it working with your satellite receiver. You would need some sort of component or composite to VGA converter, which you can find on Amazon. You can then hook up the satellite box directly to the monitor, adding in a switch if you want to be able to choose between the monitor and the TV.
Otherwise you could get local stations by hooking up a more powerful antenna. The one that came with the unit doesn't look very powerful, which is most likely why you're only picking up a couple Spanish channels. Those stations in my area are broadcast from a low power tower that is actually closer to my house than the towers for the major stations.
I've hooked this up to a DishNetwork 625 DVR receiver, but
cannot get any channels on scan. I'm using the line out to tv, and monitor VGA line from crt. No joy.
Just want to watch tv on a crt monitor.
Any thoughts? FYI, the antenna, supplied, finds 2 spanish channels, period. Just thought I'd ask prior to returning unit.
Thanks, Reacher
