Konica Minolta X50

by TK2BME / December 9, 2004 5:18 AM PST

I just got this camera and the zoom seems to make a lot of noise to me, almost like it is getting caugh up. I know that is not happening, being a non-protruding lense and all, but it sounds really bad. Has anyone experienced this, is it normal?

Try this. Go to a best buy or such and see how the display model operates.

I checked a Konica Minolta Forum and there was no mention of mechanical noise, except for one person.

His quote: "the focusing locked in one position and dispite zooming in and out it wouldnt focus and made a horrible grinding noise."

It was a new camera and he took it back and got a replacement.

I would check the focus carfully and make sure that it is focusing.
