Konica Minolta Dimage A2 v. A200

by jgyurci / December 9, 2004 9:50 AM PST

I was hoping someone might be able to explain the substantive differences between the Dimage A2 and the Dimage A200.

Also, if I were able to purchase the Dimage A200 for the same price as the Dimage A2, is that a deal that you would recommend? Why or why not?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I understand your puzzlement.

The A200 was introduces as a brother to the A2.
Probably was planned to sell for a wee bit less than the A2.
It has a few (very few) less features.
It also has some very nice improvements.

Here are two links - The A200 and the A2

Scroll to the bottom of the A200 link and check out the specifications. Notice there is an asterisk by the specifications that changed from the A2.

You can check the two sets of specs and see if there is anything you would be missing if you bought the A200.

I found nothing that would make me select the A2 over the A200.
I found many improvements that the A200 has, that would make me select the A200.
