Kodak ZX3 Power Jack

Feb 11, 2011 4:44AM PST

Hi,

I'm trying to figure what type of jack is on the AC power adapter. I have tried several radio shack types, but it seems to be a different type all together. I am hooking up a regulated battery pack to the camera in order to get a longer life. Does anyone know what kind of plug it is?

Thanks!

Last time I bought this.

I went to kodak.com to figure out the make, model of the adapter then ordered from kodak or amazon (whichever was cheaper.)

BE CAREFUL and be sure what this does. On one of my kodaks it does NOT charge the battery!

Connector head type itself
Feb 11, 2011 7:22AM PST

I have lost the ac adapter itself or I could see at least the type of the connector. I am actually not looking for the whole adaptor-just the connector on the end. I tried getting a standard dc/dc connector, but the zx3 does not have a pin in the center like my zx1. I am wondering if it is some kind of adapted phone connector. The ac adapter listed on the kodak website does not specify what kind of plug is on the end.

Good hunting.

Not long ago GM had a bright person look at connectors used in the GM line. At the time there were some 45,000 types of connectors in the inventory and growing. They also looked as "electric starter motors" and found hundreds just for the 12 Volt product line.

Imagine today and trying to find the right connector. It's a challenge.
