My dx7590 goes about up to 8 days on travel without needing a charge. It has the KLIC-5001. My smaller camera takes the similar to your selection KLIC-5000 and lasts about 4 or 5 days before I pop it in the charger.
AA batteries would increase the size of the camera so I'd not want that. A spare battery is found for 20 bucks which would be easy to spend on AA's.
The battery is LiON so all the rules are from that battery family. Just keep it full without any penalty of memory effects.
Was just wondering if anyone else who has this camera can tell me what you've experienced for battery life. Thats the only thing that makes me nervouse about the rechargables as opposed to just say double A's because if my battery dies out, I cant just run to another store and pick some up. I just got the camera, so still learning it but I thought I read somewhere that someone said theres no 'meter' anywhere to see how much power is left so just wondering what everyone averaged. Also, if you use it a little, are these batteries the ones that should be used up first then recharged or are these ok to jsut pop on the charger again if you know you will need to use it. Thanks.
