Kodak M853 problem

Jul 11, 2011 3:53AM PDT

When I charge it with the computer, my camera is supposed to show a solid green light which switches off when the camera is fully charged. Today, however, I plugged it into my computer (it had a flat battery) and it showed a short green flash followed by three slightly longer red flashes on the light. What does this mean?

"just
got mine to work. Hook up camera via usb cable and then press flash
button on top of camera. That will make your green charging light come
on. I am gonna check back on my camera in a few hours to see if light
goes out and battery charges."

"My
advice is to NOT LET THE BATTERY RUN DOWN past half charge, otherwise
it won't have enough power to stay on long enough to register the fact
that its plugged in to the computer."

You didn't tell much about the age. Does a new battery fix it? It might.
