Kodak ESP-3 printer????

by jt85gt / March 14, 2008 3:29 AM PDT

I am in need for a new AIO printer, and have been seeing the newest Kodak printer (ESP-3) I was at bestbuy and I tried printing a few pictures...actually I scanned one from a sample they had for another printer and reprinted it with the ESP-3 and it turned out pretty good. The things that have me leaning towards this is the cheap ink costs. For the most part I will print a couple dozen pictures, but would like to scan all of our wedding shots so that we have them incase of a house fire or something.

Does anyone have opinion's on this printer or any others around 150 and less?

KODAK ESP-3 printer

I just bought mine from the KODAK store. The deal was good, a 'free' USB cable included and a nice assortment of photo paper to get you started. Standard shipping was just 3 days UPS out of Tennessee. Way to go KODAK! Glad I waited for this one, as the installation was simple and straightforward. Worked right out of the box with no problems. BW/Color printing on Office Depot Ultra All-Purpose paper was flawless. Couldn't ask for better quality, letters crisp and clean with no fuzziness. Have only printed a few 4x6 color photos on the supplied KODAK sample paper so far and they were beautiful with great facial tones, color rendition, sharpness, and required no touchup in photoshop. I do use a KODAK P880 digital camera with SD card. Very impressed to say the least. Copies are clean and sharp and the scanner as well. Very impressed.

Seems OK

Kodak ads pretty much summed-up their thrust, lower ink costs. As any inkjet use costly ink, it is a plus to save on ink. For the price of $150 well you get alot of printer/Ain1 for a decent price. Its a good printer from what I've heard but still relatively low numbers out there. But Kodak experience on their photo printers seems really good and expect similar results and it appears so. I haven't heard any rumbling of bad Kodak experience at least for now.

ESP-3 printer

Well from my experiences, (I am 61 years old and have used several printers in my years since computers came into common use). When I first got it, it seemed to work quite well. Nothing exceptional but well. however with the passing of time it got worse and worse. I have had it just over a year now and have found that it is not cheaper on ink than other printers, in fact in the long run is more expensive due to their software that requires all cartridges to be changed at the same time and then there is an issue with the fact that it takes a quarter of the new cartridge to get the heads cleaned and running properly. Now on my third set of ink cartridges I find that it will not operate properly at all, even after several head cleanings and test pages I am missing colors and have streaks etc. All in all I would have to rate this as the poorest printer I have ever owned ! Without a doubt.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
