Kodak EasyShare Software/Printer problems

Jun 17, 2005 10:54AM PDT

I just purchased a Kodak CX7430 camera along with the "not so" EasyShare Dock. Following the software installation, I could transfer photos from the camera and the software seemed to be performing great. However, the only way that I can print a photo is if the desired photos are still in the camera. If I transfer all photos from the camera to the Kodak program and then copy them to My Pictures, the Easy Share Dock printer is not available. I have had two errors thus far, they are:

{Error Code 1618x17x2951053040x} and
(Error Code 1605x53x79572298}

I have installed and uninstalled the EasyShare software numerous times. Any suggestions?

Kodak EasyShare Software

Kodak has been making a lot of changes to that program, due to problems.

If you loaded the software that came with the camera, it is very likely out of date.

You need to visit the Kodak website and download the latest version of the software.

I have done that and downloaded the "new" v5.0 off of their website , still the same results.

EasyShare printing
Jun 18, 2005 7:00AM PDT

I went to the Kodak site and their troubleshooting guide and immediately saw a barrel of snakes.

My mind in full of questions:
What type of dock?
What type of printer?
Does the printer have a connector on the front so that you can directly connect to a camera?
If the dock and printer are separate, where did you connect the cable from the dock to the printer?
...(Did you connect it to the front or back of the printer?)
If you connect it to the front, what do you have connected to the back?
etc, etc, etc

I can see why they have a trouble shooting guide.

I suggest you start at:

http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=2/3/10&pq-locale=en_US

Click on "Printer & Camera Dock Support"

See how far you can get into the trouble shooting guide.

If you ever get to a page with a list of troubles and your trouble is not listed. Go to the bottom of the list and you should find a link to click if your problem is not listed.

This should take you to a place where you can send an email to the Kodak Support center.

Send the email.
