Kodak EasyShare free download error

by wil_peter / August 18, 2012 8:13 AM PDT

Hi, I get an error message when trying to download the free Kodak EasyShare in Win7. Titled "Lua Error", the dialog starts with "[]Error Evaluating if(FIRST_BUNDLE ~=nil and not offer_events.loaded ==true )...." need I go on?

Thanks for any insights.

If so, look for a DIRECT DOWNLOAD link.

So, Bob, are you suggesting a second try? No risks of which you're aware?

There are always risks.

But those direct downloads avoid many issues.

lua text editor is the problem
by wil_peter / August 20, 2012 1:36 AM PDT

A search revealed that several others have had problems downloading from Download.com because their PC has mysteriously had lua.lua installed. Since it is a programming language it is smart enough to avoid being targeted by MS's uninstall program (i.e., Lua doesn't populate the list of installed programs), so it can't be found to be removed. However, I was able to download it directly from Kodak's international site. Thanks.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
