Kodak EasyShare download programme, Problem

Mar 30, 2005 5:07AM PST

I have just read the posts on a previous thread regarding the above, but these seem to have stopped .. all information on there is not working for me.
I am unable to use my Easyshare, I have the old CD a DX3600 camera, and was so happy with the previous Picture Transfer programme. I got a new computer and reloaded Kodak and somehow came up with this Easyshare.
I have about 40 support (non-support!) emails here from Kodak, which are no help and the problem is worse that I can't get Easyshare to come up at all now from the docking station or with the camera connected to the computer. The Retrieving Contents line starts going across, then it all just stops. I cannot use it all.
Kodak even suggested my docking station was at fault.
then the latest is they told me to get in a Technician (have you seen their costs?) because I didn't have ANUM on here. What that has to do with Easyshare working was beyond them to tell me. they don't elaborate.
Can anyone help please?
Someone on a previous thread said something about InCD, but I don't have that file on my computer, I did a search.
Someone's help would be so neat ...

Did you mean ENUM?

That path usually means your machine has some USB issues.

I can't help any further because your post didn't start with the bare minimum information as noted by the forum post.

If you don't know your machine well, the log files and output from BELARC'S FREE ADVISOR as well as HIJACKTHIS would let others look under the hood.

In closing, why not take it to some knowledgeable shop or teenager and let them fix it for you?

Easy Share problem

Have not seen previous posts, but following helped me.
Clear registry of ANY old Kodak files, I mean everyone you can find, use something like Register Mechanic to do this.
[My problem was old files mucking up a re-install.]
Then reload software, but use one of the machine USB not a hub when you connect up.
Kodak help is hopeless, but you can phone Kodak tech support in Coburg, Melbourne, make polite complaints to the switch, and with a bit of persuation you will get a techo guy, and they are very helpful, and also speak and understand English as spoken in Aust.
Otherwise it is a long trial and error path you tread.
Must admit I still love the Kodak digitals, and have just bought my fourth one.
PK.. Melbourne.
