Kodak Easy Share non-compatability

I just got a new Kodak camera; the C613. I absolutely LOVE the camera, but the software is the pits. It isn't compatible with Picasa2, where all my old photos are stored, sending photos by email is unwieldy, and I don't like the online galley options, either. What I really want is to be able to download my camera photos to Picasa, like I used to. Can anyone tell me how to get around Kodak and do this? My computer is a laptop running XP, and I haven't had any problems with downloads or with managing Picasa.

Forget the Easy Share software.

Use a card reader to copy your pictures to the computer.

You laptop likely has a SD card reader already.
If not, you can buy a USB card reader for under $20.
